After the abrogation of Article 370, the first elections in Occupied Kashmir, heavy deployment of the army

Voting in the fourth phase of general elections in India has been completed.

According to Indian media, in the fourth phase of the elections, votes were cast on Monday in 96 seats including 9 states and Occupied Kashmir, where the total turnout was 62.9 percent.

In 2019, after the abrogation of Article 370, elections were held for the first time in Occupied Kashmir where voting was held on the Srinagar seat.

Indian forces deployed heavy personnel under the guise of election drama in Occupied Kashmir, while modern technology including drones were used to monitor people.

National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah also cast their votes.

For the first time since 1996, the BJP has not fielded any candidate on the three seats in Kashmir.

On the other hand, voting was held in the seats of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Odisha, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal.

The main candidates for the fourth phase include Asaduddin Owaisi, Shatrughan Sinha, former cricketer Yusuf Pathan, Akhilesh Yadav.

The next phase of elections in India will be held on May 20, and the results will be announced on June 4.

According to analysts, people are turning out to vote less due to extreme heat.
